Why life skills matter
Life skills unlock rare materials and high-end recipes, which the studio says you need for the best gear in the game. Crafting happens in your Creative Area, where every life-skill tool lives, and Carpentry supplies the materials that rebuild the town (Vitromotus and town guide).
Swords mastery: levels 1–40
Melee; your main source of melee damage. Primary attack Blade Swing (100% base damage); secondary Opposing Slash (a stronger, wider attack: 120% base damage). Tick each skill as you unlock it.
Levels 25, 33 and 40 build a bleed loop: Sharp Blades adds bleed chance to basic attacks, Deep Cut makes half of your critical hits cause Bleed, and Wounds Damage adds a bleed tick whenever you crit a bleeding enemy.
| Done | Skill | Unlocks at | Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spinning Slash | Level 1 | A circular sword attack with an increased 150% damage | |
| Precision Rush | Level 4 | Strikes multiple times for an increased +5% critical chance | |
| Critical Blades | Level 6 | Critical chance +3% while using Swords | |
| Cross Cut | Level 12 | Attack along both diagonals with a 2% chance to make the enemy Bleed | |
| Heavy Blades Training | Level 18 | +2 STR while Swords are equipped | |
| Sharp Blades | Level 25 | Basic Sword attacks get +2% Bleed chance | |
| Wounds Damage | Level 33 | A critical hit on a bleeding enemy deals extra damage equal to one tick of Bleed | |
| Deep Cut | Level 40 | Each Sword critical hit has a 50% chance to make the enemy Bleed |
Bows mastery: levels 1–40
Long range; deal damage while kiting. Primary attack Quick Shot (100% base damage); secondary Preparation (next shot +20% damage and +5% crit chance; lasts 5 seconds, costs 5 Kymia). Preparation buffs the next shot, and level 26 and 40 build on it.

| Charged Shot | Level 1 | Charge the bow for up to 30% more shot damage | |
| Multiple Shot | Level 6 | Combo: 3 arrows in a row in one direction, 50% base damage each | |

| Weakness Detection | Level 40 | First attack after Preparation has a 50% crit chance if the target is stunned, bleeding, poisoned, burning or frozen |
Knuckles mastery: levels 1–40

| Fast Kicks and Furious Punches | Level 40 | Each stun with Knuckles gives +10% attack speed for 2 seconds (does not stack) |
Magic Staves mastery: levels 1–40
Magic; melee swings plus Kymia-powered spells. Primary attack Staff Swing (a fast melee attack, 100% base damage); secondary Arcane Bolt (a ranged magic attack, 100% base damage; costs 2 Kymia). Kymia is the resource these skills spend and recover.

Armor masteries
Armor masteries cover Light, Medium, Heavy and Mixed armor and level as you fight wearing them. Each of the 4 armor slots has bonuses to unlock, mostly defensive ones that make you harder to kill. Depending on your progress, Light, Heavy and Mixed may unlock later than Medium. Mobalytics did not list the individual armor skills.
How masteries level
- Use it to level it: fighting and getting kills with a weapon type raises that mastery.
- Hover over a weapon to see its level, XP and unlocked skills.
- Higher levels unlock combos (attack sequences) or flat stat bonuses.
- Gathering and crafting masteries showed no bonuses yet in the preview build.
- All numbers on this page come from the September 2026 preview build and may change in Early Access.
