Is Emberville multiplayer or co-op?
Not at launch. Steam lists Emberville as single-player, and the Early Access content list names single-player support.
According to Emberville Game Wiki’s summary of the studio’s August 2025 Q&A, the studio wants server-based co-op for version 1.0, with world progress stored apart from characters, and said it will very likely not be in the start of Early Access. No date has been given.
Is Emberville on PS5, Xbox or Switch?
No console version has been announced. Steam lists Windows and Linux, and GOG lists Windows.
Does it work on Steam Deck and with a controller?
Steam lists full controller support for the full game, including DualShock and DualSense controllers. Valve had not given Emberville a Steam Deck rating as of October 14, 2026, and the demo listing does not mention controller support.
Can you romance characters in Emberville?
No romance system is mentioned on the Steam page, in the Early Access notes or in the studio’s dev journal. Until the studio says otherwise, treat it as unannounced.
Will Emberville support mods?
Later: the Early Access notes list modding support through the Steam Workshop for the full version, not for the Early Access launch.
How much will Emberville cost?
No price has been announced; Steam shows none yet and GOG lists it as TBA. No microtransactions; a one-time payment. The studio says the price stays the same after Early Access, though it may offer a discount during it.
Is Emberville the game where you wait 400 days?
No. That is THE LONGING by Studio Seufz, released March 5, 2020: an idle adventure in which you wait 400 days, in real time, for your king to wake up. Emberville is Cygnus Cross’s pixel-art action RPG about escaping the Vitromotus and rebuilding a town.
How long will Early Access last?
About 18 months, by the studio’s estimate on Steam; it says community feedback could extend that.
What are the PC system requirements?
Steam lists 4 GB RAM and 4 GB of storage for Linux; other Linux fields are blank.
